Day 1 Morning departure to Dover for the crossing to Calais, and on to Valkenburg for a five night stay.
Day 2 Today a visit to Aachen a beautiful city, where the squares and streets round the Cathedral and the Town Hall are transformed into a paradise of lights and colours, festive sounds and seductive smells. Stroll along the colourful stands and stalls with choices of culinary delicacies as well as that of beautiful works of arts and crafts. (A shuttle bus operates from the coach park to town – payable locally).
Day 3 This morning you will travel to Liege where the city centre is transformed into a magical and enchanting place, and the spirit of Christmas is never far away. Stroll amongst the chalets, take in the atmosphere and enjoy one of the local delicacies. We return to Valkenburg mid-afternoon.
Day 4 CHRISTMAS DAY A day at leisure to relax with an included Dutch Christmas turkey lunch and a light buffet supper in the evening.
Day 5 Enjoy a short day in Maastricht, one of the oldest cities in Holland and full of history, art and culture. Visit Vrijthof Square with its skating rink, a Christmas market and a big wheel providing festive cheer and a warm welcome. Day 6 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
