Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Folkestone and the crossing to Calais and onto Bruges for a four night stay.
Day 2 Today you will visit the Spring Flower Festival at Groot Bijgaarden Castle. Gardeners have planted over one millions bulbs including tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, narcissi and many spring varieties to create an unique exhibition as you wander through the grounds of this great castle.
Day 3 Late morning we travel to the seaside town of Ostend where you will have time to explore and enjoy lunch before travelling on to Ypres stopping en route at Essex Farm Cemetery and Tyne Cote Cemetery and Memorial. On arrival in Ypres, time to obtain dinner before experiencing the moving ceremony at Menin Gate, where at 8pm ‘The Last Post’ will be played. Then later return to the hotel in Ostend.
Day 4 A free day to explore and enjoy this wonderful historic city.
Day 5 Breakfast, then commence the homeward journey.
A modest hotel situated in the centre of Bruges and just 50 metres from the Belfry, with many restaurants, cafes and bars close by. All bedrooms are en-suite with TV, telephone and hairdryer. Small lift, bar and restaurant.
