Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Yorkshire and to the hotel for a four night stay.
Day 2 Today you will visit the autumn Harrogate Flower Show, held at Newby Hall. There will be hundreds of exhibits and craft stalls to explore including approx. 15 different show gardens, the plant nursery pavilion, floral art, crafts and gifts, demonstrations and great garden shopping. The combinations of the flower show, the gardens and the hall will create an incredible experience for all visitors
Day 3 This morning you travel to Leyburn and visit Ceramic Inspirations, where a huge variety of items in all shapes and guises are produced, and next door is the chocolate shop. Afterwards you will travel to the pretty village of Hawes where you visit the ‘Cheese Experience’ at Wensleydale Creamery, home of Yorkshire’s famous cheese. Leaving Hawes you head along the dale to Aysgarth and Bishopdale, then over the hills to Upper Wharfedale and Grassington, one of the Dales best loved villages.
Day 4 A visit to the small village of Kilburn to visit the Mousey Thompson Visitor Centre, home to the famous wood worker renowned for his little mouse carving, adorning hand carved oak furniture. Onto Helmsley, a picture perfect market town for a break and lunch. Next stop is a visit to Thirsk and entrance to ‘The World of James Herriot’, a fascinating tour, including props and studio sets featured in the long running TV series of the local vet.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey
