Day 1 Morning departure for the journey into Cornwall and to the hotel in Looe for a four night stay.
Day 2 This morning you will travel to the traditional Cornish village of Mevagissey, where you can wander the narrow alleyways, browse gifts and art galleries and enjoy some lunch before departing to the Lost Gardens of Heligan to explore the largest garden restoration in Europe, home to a national collection of camellias and rhododendrons. Whether you are looking for breath- taking surroundings, history, horticulture, wildlife you will find it here in the heart of the Cornish countryside.
Day 3 Travel to the edge of Dartmoor National Park to visit Tavistock, an ancient tannery town and home of the cream tea. We have included a lovely cream tea for you in the place from where it originated. It is the only town in Devon to hold World Heritage status and is the birthplace of Sir Francis Drake. Afterwards you will return to the hotel by way of Saltash for a short visit.
Day 4 This morning you will travel to Liskeard with time to stroll around the old town and stop for a coffee at one of the many cafes before boarding a train on the Looe Valley Line for a single journey to Looe by way of the East Looe river valley, a beautiful journey to enjoy. On arrival in Looe you have the afternoon free to explore your surroundings.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
