DAY 1 An early departure to Folkestone for the Channel Tunnel crossing to Calais and on to Luxembourg and the town of Vianden for a five night stay.
DAY 2 A scenic drive to Berkastle-Kues with its narrow little streets and quaint romantic houses. This is only a small Christmas market but in a perfect setting. Then continue the journey to picture-postcard Cochem with lovely half-timbered houses and a fairy-tale castle, set on a vine-clad hill and with a pleasant riverside promenade.
DAY 3 Today travel to Diekirch situated on the River Sure and full of history. Visit the old quarter and discover old time houses and the jewel of the town - the old St Laurentius Church, classified as a historical monument and erected on the remains of an important Roman villa. Returning to Vianden for some free time.
DAY 4 Today travel to Trier, Germany’s oldest town on the banks of the River Moselle. Amid the medieval surroundings of the Hauptmarket Square, and in front of the mighty cathedral, 95 festively decorated wooden huts create an enchanting atmosphere.
DAY 5 Travel into Luxembourg City, where the Place d’Armes is turned into a real Christmas village. The main square is covered with small wooden huts selling candles, toys, decorations and traditional gifts.
DAY 6 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
A family run hotel situated in upper Vianden and close to town centre and the River Our. All bedrooms are en-suite with TV. Bar, lounge, conservatory, terrace and lift which serves three of the four floors.
