Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Liverpool and the hotel for a four night stay.
Day 2 This morning you will board the Mersey Ferry for a 50 minute cruise with commentary. You will then return to the coach to go down memory lane on a Living Memories Musical History tour. A three hour guided tour of fun, facts and a sentimental soundtrack including a visit to the Strawberry Field Visitor Centre and gardens, Penny Lane and the Beatles childhood homes. At the end of the tour you will visit the world famous Cavern Club.
Day 3 A free day to explore the many free museums and galleries, or take a stroll around Albert Dock and enjoy a coffee or lunch. Visit the cities’ two Cathedrals as they say in the song “If you want a Cathedral, we have one to spare”:- the Metropolitan Cathedral (locally known as “Paddy’s Wigwam) and see the largest stain glass window in the country or the Anglican Cathedral, which is the largest in the UK and fifth largest in the world.
Day 4 This morning you will visit Port Sunlight, the village founded by ‘Soap King’ William Hesketh Lever in 1888. The village was built to house Lever’s ‘Sunlight Soap’ factory workers, but today is home to a fascinating museum, beautiful architecture, a world-class art gallery, stunning parkland and a thriving community. Time to explore and have lunch before returning to Liverpool for a free afternoon to continue exploring.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
