Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Derby and the hotel for a four night stay. In the evening your antique’s host will call in to lead a fun session talking about the small items that you have brought from home.
Day 2 Today you will travel to Matlock, a magnet for antique hunters. Here you will have plenty of time to browse and buy before heading through the Peak District to Whaley Bridge, where you will join a two hour afternoon tea cruise along the beautiful Upper Peak Forest Canal.
Day 3 Travel to Bamford Auction House at 10.00 hours to book in your sale items and have an informative talk from James Lewis or a colleague, to hear some anecdotes of the antiques trade and to enjoy a cuppa. In the afternoon travel into the lovely Peak District National Park, enjoying some magnificent scenery before returning to the hotel.
Day 4 It’s Sale Day – so it’s off to the auction to see how you fare! Typically auctions last for much of the day so after an agreed time, the coach will take those who’ve had enough into Derby for some free time and shopping.
Day 5 After breakfast, and maybe a fraction richer or poorer, commence the homeward journey.
