Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Bourton on the Water, described as the ‘Little Venice’ of the Cotswolds and one of the most popular tourist spots in the region for some free time to explore. Continuing to Banbury and the hotel for a three night stay
Day 2 Today you will travel to Cogges Manor Farm, used as the setting for Yew Tree Farm where Mr Drewe, the tenant farmer lived and worked. Filming took place in the manor house kitchen and the grounds in series 4 and 5 of ‘Downton’ and it is here that Lady Edith’s child is brought up. In the afternoon travel the short distance to Bampton, a beautiful Cotswold village also used as a film location for free time
Day 3 HAPPY EASTER! A morning at leisure in Banbury to explore. We have included a 3 course lunch for you to enjoy before you depart for a scenic drive around the towns and villages of the Cotswolds
Day 4 After breakfast, you will travel the short distance to the city of Oxford for free time to explore and enjoy lunch before commencing the homeward journey.
This landmark Georgian hotel is located only a 5 minute walk from the bustling market town of Banbury. All bedrooms are ensuite with TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. A cosy bar, lounge and restaurant. No lift but some ground floor rooms available.
