Set in the idyllic Wye Valley, this magnificent Grade I listed mansion is mainly 18th century with ornate ceilings, a majestic sweeping staircase, and a stately drawing room.
Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Herefordshire and to the hotel for a stay of four nights.
Days 2 to 4 At leisure to enjoy the 20 acres of landscaped parkland with pond, topiary and hedges as well as many activities and facilities.
We have included the following excursions:-
Morning tour to the ancient market town of Hereford, whose cathedral dates from the 11th century and houses the Mappa Mundi, one of the Church of England's most important treasures, returning to the hotel for afternoon entertainment
Morning tour to the small town of Hay-on-Wye, in a unique position on the border between England and Wales and ideal for visitors to explore and enjoy the beautiful border country. Hay is renowned for books and bookshops, and it is possible to walk around the circumference of the town.
An excursion into Shropshire where you will visit the market town of Ludlow, with its spectacular castle, historic market place and interesting lane. Returning to the hotel to enjoy the facilities on offer.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
