Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to London. On arrival enjoy a 2 course lunch before your afternoon visit to the Postal Museum. This completely unique way of exploring the history behind Britain’s ‘first class’ postal system. Discover the ever changing vehicles and uniforms used throughout the history of such a complex British establishment. Descend into the former engineering depot of Rail Mail – the 100 year old Post Office railway – board a miniature train and descend into the stalactite filled tunnels. After the visit transfer to the hotel for a 1 night stay.
Day 2 After breakfast depart the hotel for the Royal Observatory Greenwich, enjoy the view of London, see the iconic Meridian Line and marvel at the great equatorial telescope. Either take a walk across the green or transfer by coach to the Cutty Sark where you can touch the original structure of the ship of which 90% of the hull dates back to when it was built in 1869 for the China tea trade. After your visit there is free time to view the Queens House, National Maritime Museum or even the Greenwich market. Depart London at approx. 16.00 to commence the homeward journey.
