Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Crosthwaite, nr. Bowness on Windermere and the hotel for a four night stay.
Day 2 Today travel over the scenic Kirkstone Pass, the highest road in the lakes to Glenridding where you will board the steamer for a cruise on beautiful Ullswater, the second largest lake in the Lake District. Continue the day through the dramatic beauty of the Lakeland Fells with free time in Keswick at the head of Derwentwater before returning to the hotel.
Day 3 This morning travel to Lakeside for the steam railway journey through picturesque Leven Valley to Haverthwaite. Afterwards take in the beautiful Lakeland scenery on the drive to Holker Hall, regarded as one of the best stately homes in Britain. Time for lunch before spending the afternoon exploring the house and strolling the Lakeland gardens that merge into parkland, framed by the Lakeland Hills.
Day 4 Today your journey takes you by way of Ambleside and to Bowness for a visit before travelling to Bassenthwaite Lake for a tour and tasting at the highly acclaimed new Lakes Distillery, housed in a Victorian model farm. The distillery produce world class English whisky, gin and vodka.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
Nestled in picturesque countryside, near to Windermere and in the Lyth Valley.
