Day 1 Morning departure to Capel Manor Gardens, a beautiful 30-acre estate with over 60 different styled gardens to admire. You will then continue your journey to Sudbury and the hotel for a four night stay.
Day 2 This morning travel to Flatford, home to the 18th century mill immortalised by John Constable in his painting of The Haywain, Time to take pictures before continuing to Helmingham Hall to enjoy the serenity and tranquillity of the gardens. The traditional herbaceous borders, walled kitchen garden, herb and knot garden along with hybrid musk roses are complimented by a wonderful balance of nature.
Day 3 A visit to Gainsborough’s House, birthplace of Thomas Gainsborough, dating around 1500 with many interesting features, garden and collection of his work. Later you will travel to Lavenham, with an included visit to the historic Guildhall, containing exhibitions of local history, farming and woollen trade.
Day 4 Travel to the coastal town of Aldeburgh, with fishing boats pulled up onto the beach and with a charming High Street. Enjoy free time here before travelling along the coast to Southwold and then returning to the hotel.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
