Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Yorkshire and the hotel for a four night stay.
Day 2 This morning you will travel to RHS Harlow Carr Gardens. The garden has features evoking the surrounding landscapes including water, and dry stone wooded areas. Highlights include wildflower meadows, woodland and streamside walks all set in over 68 acres. You will then travel to Harewood House, one the Treasure Houses of England set in the heart of Yorkshire. The house has an impressive art collection, furniture by Thomas Chippendale and much more with 100 acres of awardwinning gardens and renowned lakeside Bird Garden. Time for you to explore this wonderful house with its gardens before returning to the hotel.
Day 3 Today you will visit the autumn Harrogate Flower Show, held at the Great Yorkshire Showground. There will be hundreds of exhibits and craft stalls to explore also featuring fantastic ideas for your own garden, stunning plant nursery displays, demonstrations and great shopping.
Day 4 A day to explore the famous spa town of Harrogate. Enjoy a walk through the beautiful Valley Gardens, visit the Royal Pump Room Museum, browse the delightful arcades for some retail therapy or treat yourself at Bettys Café Tea Rooms.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
An impressive Gothic mansion that would not look out of place on a film set. Located in private grounds the hotel retains the atmosphere of a private residence with views over the Aire Valley. All bedrooms are en suite, and have television, telephone, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Bar, lounge and restaurant. There is a lift to some floors, therefore stairs will have to be used when accessing some rooms.
