Day 1 Early departure for Folkestone and the tunnel crossing to Calais. Continue the journey to the hotel close to Cologne.
Day 2 Today you will be joined by a local guide who will show you Cologne, and you will learn about the Roman and medieval contemporary history. You will be shown the sights from all eras, including the unique and impressive Gothic architecture, the shrine of the Three Wise Men and the outstanding stained glass and many other important works of art led to the UNESCO declare the Cologne Cathedral a World Heritage Site.
The highlight of this tour is of course a night with Andre Rieu, the king of the waltz who will play for you in the Lanxess Arena (Dinner is not included).
Day 3 A visit to Andre Rieu’s hometown – Maastricht, a place with a unique and authentic energy. It’s a city that has the best of all worlds: north and south, past and present. There are historic buildings and trendy designer boutiques, majestic churches, stately squares and inviting cafes. After a guided tour of the city, step on board a mini-cruiser and enjoy the unexpected contours of Maastricht from the water before returning to hotel for dinner.
Day 4 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
