Itinerary

Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Llandrindod Wells, arriving late afternoon at the Metropole Hotel for a four night stay.

Day 2 Travel to the beautiful Elan Valley set in a fabulous location against a spectacular backdrop of a Victorian stone dam. On arrival a Ranger will board the coach and take you on 90 minute guided tour of the Estate which includes entrance into the Visitor Centre. There is a cafeĢ where you will be able to obtain refreshments during your visit. You will return to Llandrindod Wells for free time to explore with a good range of independent shops, cafes and things to see.

Day 3 Today you will travel to the seaside town of Aberystwyth, the biggest town in Mid Wales with a mile long Victorian promenade and oldest pier in Wales. Time to explore and enjoy lunch in one of the many eateries before boarding the train for a one hour ride on the Vale of Rheidol Railway, a heritage narrow gauge to Devil’s Bridge. A short walk from the terminus gets you to the spectacular Mynach Falls. Time for a coffee before boarding the coach to return to the hotel.

Day 4 Today you will journey through the beautiful and diverse scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park with free time to explore the medieval town of Brecon and we have included a relaxing cruise on the historic Monmouthshire and Brecon canal.

Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journe

The hotel is located in the centre of the historic spa town of Llandrindod Wells, in the beautiful heart of Wales. All bedrooms are en- suite with TV, telephone, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.
