Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Lincolnshire and to the hotel near Grantham for a four night stay.
Day 2 This morning you will travel to the International Bomber Command Centre and learn about the history, efforts, sacrifices and commitment of the men and women from 62 different nations who came together in Bomber Command during WW2. After the visit you will head to the historic town of Boston, famous for the Stump (St. Botolph’s Church). The town has a rich heritage and known to many people as the home of the Pilgrim Fathers.
Day 3 Today you will enjoy a scenic drive into the Lincolnshire Wolds, visiting some of the towns and villages including Alford, famous for its 19th century five sailed windmill. Then travel to Louth, on the eastern edge of the Wolds for a lunch stop. Afterwards travel to Market Rasen where we have included a cream tea for you to enjoy along with free time before returning to the hotel.
Day 4 A visit today to the historic city of Lincoln with its magnificent Cathedral and next to it, is the Norman Castle. First you will meet the guide for a familiarisation tour of the city on the coach, and later in the day you will enjoy a guided tour of the Cathedral. The old town is a labyrinth of little alleyways and interesting shops to explore and plenty of tea rooms to visit.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey
