Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Pembroke and the crossing to Rosslare. Travelling onto Waterford and the hotel for a four night stay.
Day 2 A morning at leisure in Ireland’s oldest Viking city with hidden gems. We have included a guided factory of Waterford Crystal where you will see how this famous glass is made. After lunch, transfer to Kilmeadan where we have included a return train ride on the Waterford & Suir Valley Railway, a heritage narrow gauge railway. Take in the panoramic views of the river, rolling farmland and mountains as you pass by.
Day 3 Today you will travel to the Mill at Avoca Village, built on the banks of the Avoca River from where it used to draw its power. You will find a large shopping area, cafeĢ and a working hand weaving mill, which is the oldest surviving working mill in Ireland. You will then visit Kennedy Homestead, birthplace of President John F. Kennedy’s great grandfather Patrick Kennedy. It celebrates the story of five generations of the Kennedy dynasty and is still today farmed by his descendants.
Day 4 Travel to Kilkenny, many people class it as the greatest city in Ireland, a medieval time capsule built around its magnificent castle and previously named Ireland’s Tidiest Town. Why not get your bearings and see the sights aboard the local road train.
Day 5 Depart the hotel, breakfast is included on the ferry and commence the homeward journey.
