Day 1 Morning departure for the journey north to Harrogate for a four night stay.
Day 2 This morning head over the North Yorkshire Moors to Goathland, a picturesque moorland village, The village has been made famous as ‘Aidensfield’ in the beloved TV series ‘Heartbeat’ and as a magical backdrop in the ‘Harry Potter’ series. Afterwards you will travel to Thirsk, a traditional market town, nestled between the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors. We have included entrance to the World of James Herriot. Step through the famous red door of 23 Kirkgate and see the fully restored site of his original 1940s home and veterinary practice, known in his books as Skeldale House, Darrowby.
Day 3 A short morning excursion to Otley, better known as the fictional market town of Hotten, where filming took place for TV series Emmerdale. Wander around the quaint cobbled streets and browse the lovely shops and grab one of their award-winning pork pies. Afternoon free to explore Harrogate.
Day 4 Today you will head into the Yorkshire Moors to Grassington, the beating heart of the Yorkshire Dales and home to fictional market town of Darrowby in the new series of ‘All Creatures Great and Small’. Afterwards you will travel by way of the Ribblehead Viaduct for a photo stop before travelling to Skipton to explore the town before returning to the hotel.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
