Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Sheffield and the hotel for a four night stay.
Day 2 This morning you will head to the thermal spa town of Buxton, home of Buxton Water. You will begin with the Buxton Crescent Experience guided tour, set within the stunning Grade 1 listed crescent building, consisting of nine themed rooms and explore more than 10,000 years of history. Afterwards time for lunch at the Pavilion Gardens (not included) before embarking on a half day step-on guided tour of the ‘Hidden Villages’, taking in some of the charming locations in Derbyshire.
Day 3 Today you will enjoy a scenic drive into the stunning Peak District first by way of Ladybower Reservoir taking in some breath-taking views and onto Castleton, one of the most beautifully situated villages nestled in the hills of Hope Valley. Free time to explore and have lunch before continuing to Eyam Plague Village to visit the museum where in 1665 the village cut itself off from the outside world when the plagued arrived in a parcel sent to the local tailor.
Day 4 Start the day with a visit to Brodsworth Hall and Gardens, described as one of the most complete and best preserved Victorian country houses and filming location of the war drama, Darkest Hour.
In the afternoon you will visit Sheffield’s Botanical Gardens, with over 18 different areas of planting and listed buildings for you to explore. Take inspiration from the Marnock Garden, stroll through the Victorian carpet bedding and find bananas in the Pavilions.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
