Lincolnshire is one of Britain’s best-kept secrets and has much to offer the visitor. We have included a visit to the city of Lincoln with a guided tour, and a stately home.
Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Lincolnshire and to the hotel in the village of Marston for a three night stay.
Day 2 Travel into Lincoln where a guide will join the coach for a familiarisation tour of the city. You will then enter the cathedral to explore followed by free time to look around this fascinating city. After lunch you will travel to the International Bomber Command Centre, created to provide a world-class facility to serve as a point for recognition, remembrance, and reconciliation for Bomber Command. Lincoln has been chosen for the site as it provides a central point for all 27 bases that earned Lincolnshire the title of ‘Bomber County’.
Day 3 HAPPY EASTER Today you will visit Harlaxton Manor for free time to explore the house and gardens. Steeped in unique architectural history, Harlaxton Manor was constructed in 1831 by wealthy Nottinghamshire businessman, Gregory Gregory. The Manor’s spectacular architecture combines Gothic, Jacobethan, and Baroque styles. In the afternoon you will travel to Cleethorpes for a return journey on the Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway with an included cream tea.
Day 4 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
