Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens, which will be alive with a riot of colour. You will see magnolias towering 40 feet high, camellias in groves, footpaths winding through hills carpeted in bluebells, many hundred of rhododendrons and azaleas. Springtime also comes with new life, in abundance. Leonardslee is home to an extraordinary range of wildlife including foxes, rabbits, grey squirrels, badgers, weasels, stoats, shrews, voles, and the now famous wallabies. You will then travel on to the hotel for an overnight stay.
NB The gardens are on the sides of a valley leading down to the lake, there is plenty of seating around but the climb back to the reception area can be difficult for those with mobility/breathing difficulties.
Sit down and enjoy dinner before the murder mystery event. Themed in the style of the TV series ‘Peaky Blinders’ which is the exploits of a fictional crime family based in Birmingham around the aftermath of the first world war. For more fun why not dress up as mobster and gangster.
Day 2 After breakfast, depart the hotel and head to the stunning Leeds Castle. An elegant 12th century castle which rises majestically from the waters of its moat and is surrounded by 500 acres of parkland and gardens. It is not your usual castle as there is so much more beneath the surface. There are over 900 years of glamourous history and lavish parties. The coach will depart at 14.00 hours and commence the homeward journe
