A visit to the regenerated Battersea Power Station with a ride on Lift 109 as well as a visit to Hampton Court Palace to see the annual tulip displays.
Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Battersea Power Station. Standing tall for more than 90 years, the Power Station’s story is rich and multi-faceted, from its bold design and life as a working power station, to its cultural icon status and regeneration as an exciting new shopping and leisure destination. There are over 140 shops, bars, restaurants, parks and historical spaces. During your visit we have included a Battersea Power Station Chimney Lift Experience. Prepare to ignite your curiosity, immerse your senses and elevate your perspective at London’s epic new viewing experience, Lift 109. Step inside the iconic Power Station and make a thrilling ascent 109 metres to the top of the north-west chimney where you will take in stunning 360 degree views of London’s skyline. After your visit, you will be transferred to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2 After breakfast, depart the hotel and travel to Hampton Court Palace for their annual tulip festival. The grounds will be filled with 10,000 tulips, one of the biggest planted displays of colourful flowers in the UK. Try and spot rare, historic and specialist varieties and enjoy expert talks on the flowers and craft activities themed around them, a good excuse to celebrate the start of spring. The coach will depart at 15.00 hours to commence the homeward journey.
