Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Shropshire and to the hotel in Telford for a four night stay.

Day 2 This morning you will travel to Acton Scott Working Farm for a fascinating insight into rural life at the turn of the 19th century and where the land is worked by heavy horses. There are daily demonstrations of period skills as it might have been on this country estate. Afterwards you will travel to Much Wenlock, the town that inspired the modern Olympic Games and is a quintessentially English town, off the beaten track

Day 3 A leisurely day in the stunning town of Shrewsbury. On arrival you will take part in a guided walking tour of one of England’s finest medieval towns and learn of its history before enjoying free time to visit one of the museums, shops or take a wander around the beautiful Quarry Park and discover the garden created by Percy Thrower. In the afternoon we have included a 45 minute cruise on the River Severn before returning to the hotel.

Day 4 Today you will visit Hodnet Hall Gardens with over 60 acres of brilliantly coloured flowers, sweeping lawns and a chain of ornamental pools, which provides a natural habitat for waterfowl and other wildlife. In the afternoon you will travel to the British Ironworks, with 60 acres of land to explore including a sculpture park, shopping, ice cream parlour and cafeĢ and we have included a cream tea for you to enjoy.

Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
