Day 1 Morning departure for the journey into Shropshire and to the hotel in Telford for a four night stay.
Day 2 Today you will experience the inspiring National Memorial Arboretum featuring nearly 400 thought-provoking memorials, in 150- acres of grounds nestled amongst lush and maturing woodland and featuring over 25,000 trees. Some memorials are made in glass and steel, to bronze and stone in all shapes and sizes. There is a restaurant on site for you to obtain lunch and for those who have limited mobility there is a land train that travels around the site and this is an extra charge.
Day 3 A visit to the delightful town of Shrewsbury, renowned as one of England’s most splendid heritage towns with over 600 listed buildings. During your visit you will have a one hour guided tour of the town in the coach, a 45 minute cruise on the River Severn and we have also included a cream tea for you to enjoy. There will be free time for you to explore on your own before returning to the hotel mid-afternoon to enjoy the leisure facilities.
Day 4 Travel into Worcestershire to Hanbury Hall, a house and garden, originally stage set for summer parties which shows a glimpse into life at the turn of the 18th century. Take the self-guided tour to explore the house and visit the gardens. There is a cafeĢ and restaurant to obtain refreshments.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
