5 Days - Tour No AB5055
Scarborough is Yorkshire’s premier seaside resort and this tour includes a visit to the famous Scarborough Fair Museum.
Day 1 Morning departure for the journey north to Scarborough and the hotel for a four night stay.
Day 2 A scenic drive north along the coast to Whitby, an ancient and beautiful seaport surrounded by magnificent countryside. We have included a visit to the Captain Cook Memorial Museum with free time to explore before travelling inland to the stunning Castle Howard, one of Britain’s finest houses full of history and art for you to enjoy with wonderful gardens also for you to explore.
Day 3 A free day to discover Scarborough and visit some of the many attractions on offer.
Day 4 This morning you will travel to Filey, once a sleepy fishing village defined by its charismatic 19th century cottages and now a popular holiday resort with historic landmarks and some of North Yorkshire’s most beautiful scenery. Free time to explore before travelling to Scarborough Fair Collection and Vintage Transport Museum. Explore their unique collection from fairground rides to steam engines and some outstanding mechanical organs from around Europe. Graham Atkinson purchased his first steam engine and organ back in the 1980’s and that was the start of a unique collection that become famous throughout the world.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
The Esplanade Hotel sits in a commanding location overlooking Scarborough's sandy beach and harbour. All simply furnished bedrooms are en-suite with TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Lift, sea view restaurant, coffee shop, bar and lounge
