Day 1 Morning departure for the journey
Day 2 Explore Stratford-upon-Avon, the town that gave us The Bard, where his story lives on today through his birthplace and family homes, and through the Royal Shakespeare Company where his plays are still performed to theatre-goers all-year round. During the day we have included a boat trip on the river and the three famous sites of Shakespeare:- Shakespeare’s Birthplace, the house where the famous playwright was born and grew up. Anne Hathaway’s Cottage and Gardens, the home of Shakespeare’s wife and a romantic attraction and finally Shakespeare’s New Place, the site of Shakespeare’s last home and the residence of his granddaughter.
Day 3 This morning you will visit the stunning Warwick Castle, over 1000 years in the making and so much for you to see and do. The castle interior shows the castle’s rich history, and each state room has distinctive personalities that are a true testament of the opulence of a bygone era. After lunch you will travel to Henley-in-Arden, one of the prettiest towns in England: a mile-long High Street of medieval, Tudor, Georgian and Victorian architecture including 150 historic buildings, shops, pubs and restaurants.
Day 4 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey
